Legislation: Resolution
Leg Title: A Resolution to Keep Jurors Onymous
Be It Resolved
Whereas: Being on a jury should be seen as a proud civic duty; and

Whereas: Jurors are protected under the law; and

Whereas: Jurors may not be able to properly judge a case if they are anonymous;

Therefore: Be it resolved by this Student Congress here assembled that jurors for Virginia courts remain onymous.

A Resolution to Make Jurors Anonymous

Be it resolved

Whereas Having anonymous jurors does not inhibit the Constitutional right to trial by jury; and

Whereas Determinations of guilt or innocence should be based upon the facts presented to the jury; and

Whereas Jurors should make their decision without consideration for their personal safety; and

Whereas Jurors should not be subjected to harassment or intimidation because of their decision; and

Therefore Be it resolved by this Student Congress here assembled that jurors in the Commonwealth’s courts shall remain anonymous.

Respectfully Submitted,
Senator Elizabeth Gindhart

I hope that this is the right place to post the legislation. Here it is.
Resolution against President Obama Increasing Efforts with the UN to Pass Global Climate Change Laws
Whereas: Climate Change is still a debatable subject.
Whereas: The Climate Change legislation will most likely place tough regulations on businesses.
Whereas: Passing Climate Change legislation with the US being a participant will decrease our national sovereignty.
Therefore: President Obama should not increase efforts with the UN to pass global Climate Change legislation.
Respectfully submitted, Representative Skip Estes
