Hi folks! We had a great kick off at the expo last night. In total we had nine schools and over 80 students!! I hope everyone found this helpful- I know for us it got my kids rellt excited about competing.
Our fist official meet is on Oct 21 at Godwin HS. Sign in starts at 4:30 and we should start rounds by 5:00. We will end and have everyone on the road by 8PM.

Please e-mail me debate and forensics entries by 6:00 on Monday Oct 18th. Please make sure to include categories!
Judges:
You are responsible for suppling judges. Unfortunately our schedule is very tight at these meets. If you do not bring the required judges your students might not be able to compete. In debate it is 1 judge per 2 entries or fraction thereof (1 PF team counts as 1 entry), and 1 per 5 or fraction thereof in forensics.
So if you have 1 LD and 1 PF and 3 forensics students you will need 3 judges.
Congress:

They must be posted by Monday at 6PM. You are responsible for bringing copies for your team. Any bills posted after the cutoff time cannot be used in competition.
Domestic : Illegal immigration problems in the US can be decreased.
International: North Korea’s change in leadership will provide a new opportunity for peace and cooperation with the US.
Virginia: Public School dances should be eliminated due the rapid increase of ‘raunchy’ dance moves and teenage drug use.
Economic: US Health Care will not be able to cover all citizens.
